Ecodesign
Our commitment to ecodesign is an essential choice. It interests all the actors around us: raw material suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, public and private buyers and therefore you, users! Since we are all actors of sustainable development, your choices allow us to progress on this path.
"Eco-design"?
Eco-design takes into account the environmental impacts of each stage of a product's life, from its design to its final development. It integrates environmental aspects throughout its life cycle, from raw material, manufacturing, logistics, distribution and use to end-of-life.
A major constraint of this approach is to avoid the transfer of pollution, particularly to another stage of the life cycle or to the detriment of an impact other than the improved one.
By seeking to reduce its environmental impacts, eco-design is a real factor of savings: for example, it limits the cost of transport, it uses fewer raw materials, it uses more materials from recycling...
In addition, by limiting resource and energy requirements, the product value chain is improved.
Product Life Cycle Assessment or LCA.
Life cycle assessment or LCA considers all aspects related to the product from the extraction of raw materials, manufacture, transport, use and end-of-life (landfilling, incineration, recycling, reuse or recovery) and as far as possible, the limitation of final waste.
LCA incorporates the analysis of the function of the product.
